Buckden is a wonderful village situated in Cambridgeshire, just a few miles from St.Neots and Huntingdon. Displayed in the Domesday book of 1086 the village has historical interest. With plenty of shops and amenities, this charming village has a lot to offer.

The Lion at Buckden is supposedly one of the oldest coaching inns in England, dating back to 1492. This charming public house has retained much of its historic character and is a lovely venue for a refreshing drink or a bite to eat.
The George Hotel and Brasserie is a stunning boutique hotel with a wonderful brasserie serving delicious meals. The outdoor seating area is perfect for summer drinks in the sunshine.
Things to see and do in Buckden
There are many things to see and do in this historic village. Buckden Towers were once home to Catherine of Aragon and make for a great day out exploring the exquisite gardens and historic buildings.

Buckden Marina is a lovely spot to visit, set on the picturesque riverside, the marina is home to 240 pontoons for cruisers, wide beam boats, and narrowboats. This tranquil setting is a lovely place for a walk.

Hinchingbrooke Country Park is just a short drive away and is a great place to explore. With open grassy expanses, wetlands, lakes, and even a cafe for a bite to eat.
Buckden tennis club is a welcoming club with four floodlit tennis courts for all weather conditions. Grafham Water is just a five minute drive, an excellent day out for water sports, walking, or cycling.
Schools and Doctors
There are a number of schools in the area, Buckden Day Nursery, Buckden Pre-School Playgroup, and Buckden Church of England Primary School. Hinchingbrooke School is just a 10 minute drive and the prestigious Kimbolton School is approximately a 15 minute drive. The village has a pharmacy, and dental practice.
Huntingdon railway station is just an 11 minute drive, providing direct links to Peterborough, and London Kings Cross. With the A1 and A14 nearby, this village has superb travel links.
